The History of Brycin Productions
Brian Mikkelson started his
video career in 1975 and actually began videotaping weddings in
1979.
In 1980 Mr. Mikkelson founded "BCM Video Services".
Although primarily involved in professional wedding videography, he
expanded BCM Video to offer many other services including,
industrial and broadcast, special events, promotions,
commercials, and music videos.
In 1981, film to videotape transfers and color video still frame
printing were also added. Over the next 10 years Mr. Mikkelson developed
and perfected one of the most successful and complete wedding video
production formats in the business. In fact, his format was so unique that
each wedding video production was copyrighted!
In view of the fact that professional wedding videography
is more than pointing a camera and pushing a button, Mr. Mikkelson realized that
there was a need for professional training throughout the wedding video
industry. He had developed the wedding video production format to such a
high standard, that he felt it was now time to share his knowledge and
experience. So in 1993, he began designing a Wedding Videography Training program
based on his unique and highly successful wedding video format.
In 1994, Mr. Mikkelson recognized that new digital
technology was being developed that would greatly improve video quality, so
he changed the company name to BRYCIN Productions to implement the
"Professional Wedding Video Production Specialist" training program
and to prepare for the future generation of digital technology.
In 2003, Brycin Productions once again set the
standard for wedding video excellence by introducing new wedding
video packages that offer fully digital productions with the finished
products presented on DVD. Shortly thereafter, Brycin expanded again to offer many more quality
professional video production services including Industrial videos, training
videos, special events, music videos, videotape to DVD transfers, video or
DVD still frame color prints, and legal video recording services.
In 2004, Brycin Productions relocated to Massachusetts. After years of
success in California, Brycin Productions is now proud to offer their high
quality digital DVD production services and videography training classes to the New
England area.
Mr. Mikkelson has been dedicated to providing the highest
